Suzy Kolber (born Suzanne Lisa Kolber) was born in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia on the 14th of May 1964. Her parents are Jewish. Her current age in 58. Sandra Kolber is her mother and Gene Kolber is her father. In 1982, she graduated from Upper Dublin High School and Sandy Run Middle School. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications at the University of Miami, in 1986. Her first job was an executive director of sports at Dynamic Cable in Coral Gables Florida while she was an undergraduate student. Moreover, she worked there from 1984 to 1986 for two complete years. In this time she also played in the Miami University's water ski team. Plaza began her professional career in Wilmington acting in the community theaters, performing Improv and also directing plays. After high school she moved towards New York City where she took improv classes at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and was a film and TV production student at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts which she graduated from in. She suffered an aphasia at age 20, a temporary defect that affects the ability to communicate and comprehend language.
